Dr Rushil Ranchod is an Associate Director at the Relational Wellbeing Collaborative, a UK-based development consultancy.
An interdisciplinary social scientist, he has built his career in the research-policy nexus where his work has spanned a range of themes related to the political economy of South Africa including higher education and skills, innovation for inclusive development, government innovation, and urban transitions.
He held roles at the University of Bath (UK), the Institute of Development Studies (UK), the Human Sciences Research Council (South Africa), and the University of Cape Town.
He holds a PhD from Durham University (UK) and Masters degrees from the University of Cape Town and Newcastle University (UK). He was held prestigious fellowships from Roskilde University (Denmark) and was a selected as a World Social Science Fellow by the International Science Council.
